||The brand concept is about the name and spirit of WAKA WAKA. WAKA WAKA is Swahili and means “let’s get started”. The name supports the concept of bush vines growing as nature intended and the return to the real roots of nature and the earth.
WAKA WAKA encompasses the uplifting celebration of nature’s riches, as nature first began, in a dynamic and motivating way.
The history of WAKA WAKA
WAKA WAKA is a captivating and enchanting wine that reflects the radiance and allure of South Africa. The expert winemakers from WAKA WAKA in Paarl have unharnessed the vines to allow them to explore the land freely as nature originally intended, thus producing a wild wine grape with a high concentration of flavour and aroma. These grapes are then hand-picked during the harvest to ensure that only the best quality fruits are used. The result is a wine of great warmth and richness that is as intense and unique as its birthplace.
WAKA WAKA – Magic as nature intended.
A close partnership: Reh Kendermann & Perdeberg Winery
WAKA WAKA is the new global wine brand bottled in South Africa and is a joinventure of Reh Kendermann GmbH Weinkellerei, Germany and Perdeberg Winery in Paarl, South Africa. The mission of WAKA WAKA is to create a new and vibrant wine style and outstanding wine quality in relation to its price and competitive set.
It is not about being another South African wine brand; it is about added benefit for the consumer. Most importantly, the brand name and packaging must attract and appeal to the potential consumer. The expression “Waka Waka” is known from the former World Cup 2010 through the famous singer Shakira, who presented the official World Cup Song.
The grapes we use belong to original bush vines and grew in the Paarl area. Due to the fact that the bush vine grape will be used for WAKA WAKA, the quality of the wine will be outstanding and will outshine our competitors all over the globe.|
