Bob and Joyce Pellegrini founded Pellegrini Vineyards in 1982. The 30 acre home vineyard in
Cutchogue, New York contains some of the oldest vines on Long Island. Two additional
properties down the road were purchased in 1998 – South Harbor Vineyard with 14 acres and the
Richmond Creek Vineyard with 28 acres, both sited on well drained loam with southern exposure.
Through extensive soil preparation, careful clonal and rootstock selection and progressive
growing methods, Pellegrini takes advantage of eastern Long Island's climactic and soil
conditions. Winemaker Tom Drozd uses young vines and some purchased fruit to produce their
East End Select line of wines.
