Derived from Pinot Nero grapes that are macerated at a low temperature until the must has developed a decidedly pink color. The grapes grow on hills at an altitude of 285 meters (935 feet) and yields per hectare are extremely limited. The color attenuates during maturation lasting at least 30 months.
