For her signature white varietal, Gina chose Laguna Ranch Vineyard in the Russian River Valley, both because of its terroir and the special significance it holds for her. When Laguna Ranch was an apple orchard, Gina’s grandfather Julio often picked fresh apples there for his wife’s legendary apple pies. He later purchased the property and transformed it into a Chardonnay vineyard. Gina relished the opportunity to share this special place through a very personal Chardonnay that reveals a subtle hint of apple on the palate. Grapes from our Del Rio Vineyard add a pleasing acidity to balance the richness in the wine.
