Louis Latour Puligny-Montrachet 2011

Louis Latour Puligny-Montrachet 750ML 2011
Sku: 10628

Home to some of the world’s most extraordinary Chardonnays including the famous Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet and Batard-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet is the 216 hectare geographical middleman of the white wine villages, bordered by Meursault to the north and by Chassagne-Montrachet to the south. According to the history books, the village of Puligny gained its name from Puliniacus, a Gallo-Roman military encampment. The Montrachet aspect was added in the last century to stress the consistently excellent quality of the wines produced in the local vineyards.

Wine maker notes
The wine is an outstanding example of what this village is capable of and of the unrelentingly high standards of selection and vinification practiced by Maison Louis Latour. The nose has tropical fruit notes such as coconut butter and pineapples, the palate is no less exotic and has an opulent buttery fatness that borders on the exuberant. The finish is far from austere and the wine continues to improve for up to ten years after bottling.
