Chivas Regal Scotch 18 Year

Chivas Regal Scotch 18 Year 750ML
Sku: 12159

A minimum of 18 long years have passed to make this unique blend of malt and grain Scotch whiskies deeper, more intricate, and exceptionally rich. And where age gives this blend incomparable richness character, triple blending makes it the smoothest of its kind. Winner of three major awards, each bottle of CHIVAS REGAL 18 Year Old bears its own unique serial number, sourcing it back to the one particular blending and year it came from. It's not surprising then, that CHIVAS REGAL 18 Year Old is the smoothest, richest Scotch whisky in the world.

Tasting notes
Color: Intense, dark amber Nose: Mulit-layered aromas of dried fruits, spice and buttery toffee Taste: Exceptionally rich and smooth-a velvety, dark chocolate palate with elegant floral notes and a wisp of sweet mellow smokiness Finish: Magnificently long, warm and memorable

Review
Scotch Whisky Blend of the Year, Malt Advocate Whisky Awards, 2007

Rating
Ultimate Beverage Challenge 93 points (Apr 2014)
Buttery aromas of toasted oats and nuts with slight citrus notes. Sea salt on the palate is refreshing along with ripe orange, tobacco and caramel. The texture is dusty and leaves the mouth pleasantly powdery.
The wonderful bouquet includes scents of bacon fat, honey, orange rind with deeper smells of black pepper, cinnamon, vanilla bean and pipe tobacco. Entry is silky smooth, semisweet, concentrated and honeyed; the midpalate offers grainy sweet, yet spicy, tangy, fruity, nutty and floral tastes. The oak element really emerges in the aftertaste, ideally completing this sensational blended Scotch. One of the finest blended Scotches in the world. P.P. (12/1/2008) 96-100
