90 Points “Best Value”
Smooth and open textured, with cherry and savory red pepper flavors that mingle effectively on the mineral tinged profile, lingering against refined tannins on the long, expressive finish. Drink now through 2014.

| Technical notes |
| "Good winter rains ensured that soil profiles were well filled before the growing season. The month of October was the coolest in Adelaide in six decades, which inhibited shoot growth, however, temperatures rose rapidly in November with shoots trebling in length. Flowering occurred later than normal but conditions were ideal for set. Temperatures fluctuated during summer with warmer than normal temperatures during December to cooler temperatures in January. Record breaking heat in February followed, increasing the rate of ripening as well as reducing disease pressure. The combined effect of low disease risk and desirable weather conditions ensured that premium Shiraz parcels showed the richness of colour and intensity of varietal flavour required for the Jacob's Creek Reserve Shiraz." |
