Wine Advocate 93 points The 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape is not to be dismissed because most of the old vine Grenache component had not been included in the blend when I tasted it. It reveals plenty of black olive, blackberry, and currant fruit, medium to full body, and copious spice as well as depth. Keep in mind that the bulk of the wine will be old vine Grenache, and, as stated above, it had not yet been blended with the lots I tasted. Nevertheless, it still possessed outstanding potential. |
