Castelgiocondo Brunello di Montalcino 2008

Castelgiocondo Brunello di Montalcino 750ML 2008
Sku: 13398

Castelgiocondo is produced from an uncompromising selection of the finest Sangiovese grapes, in a vineyard whose ideal elevation, well-drained soils, and southwest-facing exposure yield all of the qualities that converge to produce the finest expression of this ancient grape variety. It is an elegant, well-balanced wine of magnificent structure.

"Shows a complex nose of blackberry, tanned leather, sandalwood and cedar. Fascinating. Full-bodied, with supersilky tannins and a long, long finish. Concentrated yet balanced. Beautiful and complete. Best after 2011."

 Wine Spectator 92 points
An exotic, racy bouquet leads to expressive super-ripe red cherries, flowers, mint and spices in Castelgiocondo’s 2008 Brunello di Montalcino Castelgiocondo. A soft, supple wine, the 2008 impresses for its impeccable balance. All the elements come together nicely in this fine, supple Brunello made for near and mid-term enjoyment. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018.
