Petit Verdot – a classic Bordeaux varietal that tends to ripen slowly. The warm, steady climate of St. Helena gives the grapes a chance to ripen consistently, developing the tannins, color and flavors that make Petit Verdot ideal for our Meritage blend. However, the flavors are so impressive that we reserve a small amount of Petit Verdot to bottle on it’s own. With a lavish violet bouquet, a deep inky color and velvety mouthfeel, our Petit Verdot is one of our most limited and coveted wines.
