Dark intense Lagavulin (pronounced Laga-voolin after the Gaelic Laggan Mhouillin, “the hollow where the mill is”) comes from a whitewashed jumble of buildings by the sea on Islay’s rocky southern shore. Founded in 1816, this is a great Islay malt. Pungent and potent, with richly peaty, deep, smoky flavor, it has an intense, long, ambrosial finish.

Very good single malt, not been "discovered" yet but, well worth it. Found it when in Scotland, it's a big favorite over there. If you smoke cigars, even better. You will not be disapointed.I had just purchased a bottle at the local liquor store for $79.00, the same one that's $49.00 online, you do the math. Post your opinion after you've tried it, love to see what everyone else thinks of it.Cheers!
