Syrah is grown in the northern Rhone Valley of France and in Australia where it is known as Shiraz. The Syrah grape has also found a home in the hills of Italy`s famed region of Tuscany and in the comparable topography of California`s Sierra foothills. The young Syrah wines grown at Montevina`s estate Amador County vineyard produce wines which resemble the best of France and Australia.
