Wonderful stuff. This is a limited seasonal bottling, which we hope to produce every October. Distillers Jorg Rupf, Lance Winters, and Dave Smith have been working with pears for a very long time, with all kinds of awards for the Aqua Perfecta pear eau-de-vie & liqueur which they make from the same pears. The Bartletts come from Colorado, high-desert tiny pears with intense flavors & aromas. When they get to our distillery, they're macerated and distilled on our small copper pot still. This vodka is an artistic/technical tour-de-force: beautifully focused & very clean, with the pear aroma and flavor tastefully subdued, so you actually enjoy it as a vodka. It’s perfect chilled & straight up: classic martini. There’s a lovely subtle clove overtone.
