The Branko estate, located in Collio Goriziano, began wine production in 1998 with Igor Erzetic as winemaker. While still in his teens, Igor had worked beside his father Branko, restoring the 15 acre terraced vineyard, that had been abandoned for over 20 years. The climate is strongly influenced by the Adriatic Sea and the Alpine mountains. The vineyards, situated at 1,968-2,296 feet are planted on sandstone and marl soil from the Eocene. Branko wines are well balanced with exceptional elegance, complexity and character.
