| Tasting notes |
| Refined floral nose with orange blossom and bergamot.
The mouth is dry and long.It has a very etheral, aerial grace and a salty, salivating finish. |
| Wine maker notes |
| The FRONHOLZ is a very special piece of land with great personality! Its location, as a hill apart from the main Vosges hill range, on the top and South-West facing side of the Epfig hill, makes it special. This is a very rare exposure for vines in Alsace, the whole vineyard being
on the East-facing slopes of the Vosges foothills. As a result, there is a better photosynthesis, preserved acidity and aromas that are never overripe or exotic due to an intense and prolonged sunlight at the end of the day, and a very good air flow. The Muscat is planted on sandy loam with quartz rocks. These vines were planted in 1969, on
the exact day when man first stepped on the moon. |
| Food pairing |
| It is obviously a wonderful aperitif drink, but will also suit vegetarian cooking, sushis, fish carpaccio and, of course, the traditional spring asparagus! A « lightweight » diet wine, somehow... |
