Among the collectable wines of Italy, none surpass the reputation of Brunello di Montalcino. And few producers are as admired as Tenuta Il Poggione. Through the use of a rigorous selection process, winemaker Fabrizio Bindocci crafts the highest quality Brunello, made from 100% Sangiovese grapes. Only the best fruit is hand-selected from the estate's prime vineyards and vines that are at least 20 years old. The juice from the fruit is vinified in separate lots where only the best can become Brunello. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for two years before being decanted and aged one year in bottle.
