Gerard Bertrand Muscato

Gerard Bertrand Muscato 750ml
Sku: 1741412*

Muscat is one of the flagship grape varieties of southern France. Gerard Bertrand has turned it into one of this specialties with Muscato, the latest in his highly contemporary range. A blend of the Muscat d’Alexandrie and Muscat Petit Grain varieties, this cuvee comes from vines with limited yields giving the wine a rare quality and great complexity.

Tasting notes
With its lovely pale yellow colour, this wine offers a bouquet boasting aromas of roses, tropical fruit, citrus and white flowers. Its highly expressive flavours give it astonishing freshness enhanced by great aromatic presence.

Wine maker notes
The grapes are picked very early (early August) in order to produce a balanced, aromatic, fresh wine. The fruits are pressed directly in a pneumatic press. After the musts have settled under cold conditions fermentation takes place at low temperatures in order to conserve all the fruity aromas and freshness. Maturing is performed on the fine lees in order to preserve the aromatic character of the grape varieties.
