A deep, concentrated black colour in the glass
At first sniff this wine leaps out at you with heady fresh rose petals, lavender, roasted meats, cloves and fresh dried plums
It hits the palate with smooth and coating weight that shows brilliantly ripe and multi-dimensional fruits, which are reined in by supple tannins. The lovely weight of flavour pushes deep into the late palate. This is a bigger style that I thought was possible at vintage, but the texture just keeps on drawing you back. I love its drive and drinkability now, but it will also age to offer more complexity with time. - MT
Matured half the wine in tank and the balance in older French oak. The wine was bottled 11 months after vintage and matured in bottle before release.
