| Tasting notes |
| Colour
Deep black in colour with a bright red edge
Aroma
The complex bouquet starts out with roasted meats, salami, dried cloves, texta, warm oil, burnt toffee, garrigue, soy, balsa and licorice pastilles
Palate
The palate is thick, rich, very round and persistent; this crashes across the palate with wave after wave of fruit that is backed by a considerable amount of tannins, there is undeniable quality here. This is more a statement wine than an easy drink; it's a wine to sip and admire, due to its impressive concentration. I believe this will lock down in a bottle and slowly re-emerge after several years - every component is in the right place, it just needs time to soften. |
