Willakenzie Estate is a small, family-owned winery located in the Yamhill-Carlton district of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. They focus on quality, handcrafted wines with minimal intervention using 100% estate fruit. The soil, cool climate and topography are ideal for growing Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Gamay Noir and Pinot Meunier. The vineyards at Willakenzie Estate are certified L.I.V.E (Low Input Viticulture & Enology) and Salmon-Safe and are farmed sustainably using mostly organic products such as compost and kelp. Winemaker Thibaud Mandet combines the best of new and old world techniques. WillaKenzie takes special pride in its vineyard-designated Pinot Noirs, which reflect the diversity of their vineyard locations and clonal selections. They are all 100% estate grown and aged in the winery’s underground cellars for at least a year in barrel and typically another year in bottle before release. The goal is to offer a distinctive range of Oregon Pinot Noirs that are complex, fragrant, and full-bodied, but with soft and silky tannins. Their styles range from very fruity, feminine, and elegant, to powerful wines with great intensity and structure. They will improve with bottle age for at least 8 to 10 years.
