The 2009 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon also spent 8 months in French and American oak. Slightly reticent aromatically, with coaxing it reveals notes of cedar, tobacco, violets, spice box, and assorted black fruits. More structured than the Reserve Merlot, it might evolve for 1-2 years although there is no need to defer gratification.

Wine maker notes
Santa Ema Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva is ruby red in color. Aromas include red fruits such as cherries and prunes intermingled with notes of menthol, tobacco, and toast. The palate shows tremendous structure, with ripe tannins and a long finish. It is the perfect companion for grilled red meats, well-seasoned dishes, and ripe cheeses.

Food pairing
Drink with coal-roasted red meats, well-seasoned dishes, stews, casseroles, and ripe cheeses.
