Estate fruit grown in the Diamond Mountain District was sourced from three parcels: the first two are plots that were part of Schramsberg’s original 1862 holdings and the third is an adjacent parcel which was first planted by Colin McEachran in 1878 and purchased by the Schramsberg family in 1985. These hillside vineyards sit at 500-1,000 feet and are surrounded by two creeks and dense forests, which creates a growing environment that naturally limits yields and provides a long and even growing season. |
