Mas La Chevaliere Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

Mas La Chevaliere Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml 2011
Sku: 1791803*

In 1995, Michel Laroche purchased Mas La Chevaliere, just outside Beziers, in the Languedoc and planted 111 acres of prime vineyards. Vines were planted or replanted and terraces were dug into the hillside vineyards to maximize exposure to the sun. The diversity of soil, climate and grape varieties in this region allow him to produce whites that are aromatic yet rich and reds which are ripe yet sinewy. Mas La Chevaliere wines are sourced from two vineyards the Peyroli estate vineyard, with a cool climate and marl-limestone soil, is ideal for growing white grapes and the Roqua Blanca estate vineyard with its warmer climate, limestone and dolomite soil, is dedicated to red grapes. Mas La Chevaliere is converting to organic viticulture. Occasionally, grapes are sourced from outside the estate to complement production of de la Chevaliere wines.

Tasting notes
A youthful wine showing pronounced aromas of black fruits with notes of herbs and black pepper. Structured tannins and concentrated fruit precede the juicy finish.
