Sagrantino is the vine and the wine that embodies the very nature of Montefalco in the oenological world, thus giving meaning to the word terroir. Its unique qualities cannot even be approached anywhere else. A new emotion in every sip.
| Tasting notes |
| A single vineyard, DOCG classified wine made from 100% Sagrantino grapes harvested from the Campo alla Cerqua vineyard of the Tabarrini estate. This vineyard sits some 360 meters above sea level and enjoys southern exposure. The Campo alla Cerqua wine distinguishes itself from the estate’s two other Sagrantino labels through its softness and minerality. Some might categorize it as more approachable or feminine in style. Whatever the personal description might be, low density planting, heavy pruning and careful grape selection combine to make this the smallest production of Tabarrini’s Sagrantino offerings with less than 2,000 bottles per year produced! Like the Colle alle Macchie label, Campo alla Cerqua is allocated to Tabarrini’s most precious customers.
