Catena Alta Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

Catena Alta Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml 2011
Sku: 1822195*

Catena Alta Cabernet Sauvignon is made from small, highly selected estate grown vineyard lots at different elevations in Mendoza. From the blend of these components emerges a wine of unique character that has balance, concentration and a strong varietal identity. Catena Alta Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from Lot 3 of the La Pirámide vineyard, located in Agrelo (3,100' elevation) and Lot 3 from the Domingo vineyard, located in Villa Bastias (3,770’ elevation). This wine undergoes a demanding selection process in both the vineyard and the winery.

Wine Advocate 92 points (Aug 2015)
The 2011 Catena Alta Cabernet Sauvignon is produced with grapes from different Mendoza zones. There are tons of cracked black pepper aromas along with notes of cured meat, meaty blackberries and a herbal hint. It is quite European-styled in its balanced austerity. The serious and balanced palate is medium-bodied with earthy tannins. 30,000 bottles produced.
 Wine Spectator 89 points (Dec 31 2014)
A taut red, with loads of acidity to the dried red currant, raspberry and spiced cherry flavors. Pomegranate and black olive notes linger on the firmly tannic finish. Drink now through 2018. 750 cases imported. -KM
