Sleek, with racy damson plum, cassis and spice notes carried by hints of licorice and sweet tobacco. Features a light mineral edge on the finish. Drink now. 22,000 cases imported. -JM

One of the best wines from this property, which established itself in the American marketplace 30 years ago, this blend of 58% Merlot, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest the other two well-known varietals, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, is soft, round and generous, with loads of berry fruit, some licorice, roasted herbs and spice box. It is a very attractive, supple wine to drink over the next 5-7 years.
