Tzuba Merlot 2009

Tzuba Merlot 750ml 2009
Sku: 1852223*

Wine Advocate 87 points (Oct 2015)
The 2009 Merlot was aged in new French oak for 14 months. Sourced from a high altitude vineyard, it is a Merlot with a fruit-forward demeanor that changes to a tight and somewhat astringent wine after some aeration. Reasonably full in the mouth, the structure matches the fruit pretty well once it calms down. The flavor profile is, perhaps, a bit less than classic with the pulpy fruit showing a sweet hint on the end. This should make a pretty nice food wine. Drink it or hold it, but aging it a long while likely won’t provide many rewards.

Wine maker notes
This quality wine made of 100% Merlot aged in French Oak barrels for 14 months. The wine has an array of scents of ripe red fruits. Its rich taste is balanced and elegant with a unique ending and pleasant tannins.
