Young Inglewood Right Bank Blend 750ml 2009
Sku: 1890430*

Founded in 2007, Young Inglewood is located in Napa Valley, southwest of St. Helena, California. The estate is owned and operated by two generations of the Young family, founders Jacky and Jim Young and their children Mary and Scott. Young Inglewood Vineyard is an organically farmed 18 acre parcel that was planted by Doug Hill in 1997 to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. The vineyard is located between Rutherford and St Helena and the soils are gravelly loam interspersed with river rocks. In 2010, Doug grafted a small section of the vineyard to Petit Verdot and Malbec. Winemaker Scott Young has worked with Anne-Claude Leflaive of Domaine Leflaive in Burgundy, France, and also in Germany, Spain and Italy. After moving to Napa Valley, he worked harvests at Spottswoode and at Long Meadow Ranch. Consulting winemakers are Steve Matthiasson, Ashley Heisey and Jennifer Williams.

Tasting notes
A compelling wine that presents pronounced aromas of chocolate covered cherries, warm spice and dried herbs, with rich, silky tannins and long, seamless finish.

Technical notes
Merlot, Cabernet Franc and a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon were cold soaked, followed by a long, slow fermentation. The wine was aged for 20 months in French oak (40% new) and one year in the bottle.
