Orkney, Scotland - 18 YEAR OLD is Highland Park's most awarded whisky for good reason. Crafted using a high proportion of first-fill sherry seasoned European oak casks, it is the perfect expression of harmony, complexity, and refinement: rich and expertly balanced with a toffee sweetness and a mouthwatering smoky finish. Highland Park 18 Year Old was named ”Best Spirit in the World” by the Spirit Journal on two separate occasions and was awarded the Chairman's Trophy for Best Island Single Malt Scotch at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge in 2018 and again in 2019.. This is one of four new additions to the portfolio in 2018, and is the pick of the bunch. It is a ‘marrying-strength' variant of the 18 year old, relaunched in 2017. Treacle tart, sweet woodsmoke, and milky coffee on the robust nose. The palate is voluptuous, with tangy orange, malt, and more woodsmoke. Milk chocolate and smoky Jaffa oranges in the finish.
