Rich and complex, notes of toffee and butterscotch combine with ripe peach and bitter orange. Perfect structure. Initial notes of soft apricot and cream are offset by developing flavours of old leather and oak with a touch of honey.. This has a significant proportion of sherry wood and it marks a real step up from its younger stablemates. It boasts a stylish nose of old leathery cigar boxes, vanilla, and orange marmalade. Syrupy on the palate, with oranges, sweet sherry, honey, and figs. Spicy oak, caramel, citrus fruits, and aniseed in the lengthy finish.Reviewed by: Gavin Smith (Summer 2018)
This is a decadent dram with luscious aromatics of roasted figs, golden raisins, and dried apricot. The palate follows in a similarly luxurious fashion and has a chewy texture of ripe peach skin and sweet creamed oats.. Water, Single Malt; 43.00%. Neat or on the rocks. Nose: Rich and complex, notes of toffee and butterscotch combine with ripe peach and bitter orangePalate: Perfect structure. Initial notes of soft apricot and cream are offset by developing flavours of blackcurrant jam and sweet oak with a touch of honey. Very long and balanced finish, progresses from creme brulee to a gentle oak flourish. Liquor
