The grapes are vatted for 12 to 18 days with temperature control, then aged 8 to 12 months in stainless steel until bottling. The Cuvée Alouettes is fresh, supple and fruity, ready to drink young, and can be kept for up to 4 years.

Domaine de la Chanteleuserie sits just outside the village of Benais in the Touraine, on a limestone plateau. Thierry Boucard, the seventh generation of winegrowers here, runs it with his wife, Christine. His father, Moïse, was discovered by Kermit in 1976. The Boucards make pure Cabernet Franc, with no Cabernet Sauvignon added. Thierry keeps yields low and controls temperature through harvest and fermentation to preserve freshness and avoid harsh tannins.

Serve with white meats, roasts, savory pies or charcuterie.

Brand: Kermit Lynch

Wine Type: Red Wine

Appellation: Bourgueil

Region: Loire Valley, France

Vintage: 2024

Volume: 25.4 fl oz

Package Quantity: 12 Bottles
