This is a 2024 Côte de Brouilly, a red wine made from Gamay in Beaujolais, France. The structured region lists Burgundy, but the producer text places the winemaking in Villé-Morgon, so the wine is best read as a Beaujolais cru.
Alex Foillard grew up in the Foillard family of Villé-Morgon. He studied winemaking in Beaune for two years, interned at Domaine Prieuré-Roch, where he stayed another year, and then worked for producers in Australia. Since 2014 he has worked full time in the vineyards and winery with his parents, Agnes and Jean Foillard. His first wines, from the 2016 vintage, come from 2.5 hectares in Brouilly and Côte de Brouilly. In 2015 he bought two vineyards from a pair of retiring brothers who left them untouched that year, which gave him a head start on cleaning up the soil. He makes his wines at his parents' domaine in Villé-Morgon.
