Les Roches Blanches is a 2024 white wine from Chignin-Bergeron in Savoy, France. It is made from Roussanne, which is called Bergeron in Savoy.
André & Michel Quenard farm twenty-two hectares on the steep, terraced slopes of the Coteau de Torméry around Chignin, in the western Alps. The limestone scree gives the soils great diversity. Michel's grandfather started the domaine in the 1930s and sold most of the wine in bulk. André began bottling under the family label in 1960, Michel joined in 1976, and his son Guillaume now works with him. The vineyards have a warm, south-facing microclimate, with fig and olive trees among the vines. Andrew Jefford calls Michel and André masters of the Bergeron grape.
