Felciaio is a Vermentino from Tuscany, bottled under the Toscana designation by Badia di Morrona. The 2025 vintage is a white wine, and it is vegan.
Badia di Morrona sits in the Pisan hills (Colline Pisane), in the comune of Terricciola between Pisa and Florence. It is one of four badie, or monasteries, founded by the count of Fucecchio, and dates to the 11th century, when Benedictine monks ran it. The estate farms olive oil as well as wine. The third-generation owners have recently built a new winery. Of its 600 hectares, 110 are planted with vines, mostly on clay soil, and all grapes are harvested by hand. Besides Chianti DOCG vines, they grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Shiraz, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. A large solar installation makes the winery self-sufficient in energy.
