Bodegas Chacra Malbec Roka is a 2025 red wine made from Malbec in Patagonia, Argentina. It comes from Mainqué in the Río Negro region, where Chacra works old vineyards that give very low yields of 1 to 1.5 kilos of fruit per plant. Grapes are picked in the early morning and sorted twice. Fermentation uses indigenous yeasts in small cement vats below 20°C (68°F), and the wines are clarified by natural decantation, without filters.
Piero Incisa della Rocchetta founded Chacra in 2004 to capture the climate and terroir of Mainqué as directly as possible. In Patagonia, a chacra is a piece of land set aside for fruit growing. Farming follows organic and biodynamic principles, and they preserve ungrafted old vines and invest in beekeeping. Piero aims for wines that are pure, delicate and floral, with strong minerality.
