The first vines were planted in 1970 by the father Vittorio, a professor of agriculture, with a passion for working in the vineyard, choosing some native varieties, which still resist and are maintained as genetic heritage with studies and research. Among these, the Spergola and the Malbo Gentile, and rare varieties of Lambrusco. In the years between 1970 and '76 other vines will be planted including Malvasia and Moscato, with double cordon training systems typical of those years. In 1993, the sons, Giovanni, a doctor of agriculture and oenology and Alberto, an architect dedicated to viticulture, began direct management of the company, converting the vines into organic and directly making wine only their own grapes. Thus in 1993, in the garage under the house, the first bottle of spergola grapes was born, a classic method: the Reserve of the brothers . In 1998 the winery was built, and the vinifications of other refermented in spergola and lambruschi bottles began: querciole , and undergrowth . In the same year the passito di moscato and malvasia: Aresco is vinified for the first time . From the earliest years, the winemaking technique was experimented without the aid of chemistry, which will be the path followed in the years to come. Since 2001 the first wines to be aged are born, always using local varieties: Gheppio and Nottediluna . Since 2003, a plot of about one and a half hectares has been added, on high hills, in Broletto, characterized by calcareous soils of the lower Apennines, on which some ancient varieties are chosen, including the Sgavetta and the Malbo gentile. The new vines inspire a new vinification that in 2012 translates into the first three demijohns of rose wine for this calledThree ladies . In 2014, Le Rose was born from an early harvest of aromatic malvasia . In each vintage, small vinifications help us to understand and enhance the characteristics of native grapes.
