Champagne Canard-Duchene Cuvee "V" 2012 Brut Nature A few words on this champagne: "V" like Victor Canard, who founded the Maison Canard-Duchene in 1868. During the 2010 harvest, Laurent Fedou, cellar master of the House, was charmed by the quality and character of several plots of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from an exceptional terroir. He envisioned a wine that would mark Canard-Duchene's 150th anniversary. He chose to release the 2010 vintage exclusively in magnum format as an extra brut style. This cuvee embodies the House's history and Laurent Fedou's savoir-faire. Blend : 70% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier Grands Crus & 1er Crus such as Ay, Bouzy, Chigny, Ludes, Taissy, Mailly. Sugar content: less than 3 grams/liter (Brut Nature) Aging : 8 years minimum Aromatics : At first, slightly toasted with brioche notes & aromas of ripe yellow fruits, followed by elegant raspberry aromas Appearance : Light gold hue with a ribbon of delicate bubbles Palate : Structured & Fresh, mineral & zesty with a slight salinity A word from our Cellar Master, Laurent Fedou: "Extremely balanced, "V" 2012 is an exceptional vintage.
