This is the Champagne JM Seleque Coteaux Champenois Blanc Perpetuel Assemblage No 23, a still white wine from Champagne, France. It is the 2024 listing vintage.
Champagne J M Sélèque began in 1965, when Henri Sélèque planted his first vines with help from his father-in-law, Jean Bagnost, then president of the Pierry wine cooperative. His son Richard studied oenology and began making Champagne at the estate in 1974. Richard's son Jean-Marc joined in 2008 after studying wine and travelling abroad. The estate farms 7.5 hectares across seven villages in the Marne valley and the Côte des Blancs: Pierry, Moussy, Epernay, Mardeuil, Dizy, Vertus and Boursault. Plantings are 60% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Meunier and 10% Pinot Noir. Soils are turned to encourage root growth and microbial life, and a team of five does the vineyard work by hand through the year.
