Ronco delle Mele Sauvignon is a 2024 white wine from Venica & Venica, made from Sauvignon Blanc in the Collio appellation of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy. The estate is known for textural, aromatic whites made with little to no wood.
Venica & Venica is a family-owned estate with 28 hectares of vines in the Dolegna district of Collio. Daniele Venica founded it in 1930 by purchasing Ronco del Cero, and Giampaolo now runs it after his father Gianni and uncle Giorgio. Organic practices guide the vineyard work: pheromone traps for insects, grass and fava bean cover crops mulched into the soil, and a sprayer with a collector that cuts copper sulfate use by 70%. Solar panels power the estate, which also has a bed and breakfast, continuing a guest house tradition the family began in 1940.
