This is the 2023 Puligny-Montrachet Les Levrons from Domaine Génot-Boulanger, a white Burgundy made from Chardonnay in France's Puligny-Montrachet appellation.
Guillaume and Aude Lavollée are the fourth generation of vignerons at Génot-Boulanger. Their wines come only from estate-owned vineyards along all three Burgundy côtes, from Chambolle-Musigny down to the domaine in Meursault and on to Mercurey. Across 22 hectares they make wine from over 30 appellations, a range few family-owned Burgundian domaines match. Since 2008 they have worked to improve quality, converting to organic farming and experimenting with biodynamics. Their philosophy is "maximum work in the vineyards for minimum intervention in the cuverie," which gives wines that are true to their terroir.
