This wine is from France, Bordeaux region, Saint Emilion sub-region. Undoubtedly the flagship of the AUBERT vineyards since over a century. This unique terroir, one of the few located on the limestone plateau on the outskirts of the village of Saint-Emilion, produces a Grand Cru Classe of international renown with subtle and mellow aromas.. This grand cru classe wine is packed with potential. From a great vintage, it has density and layers of tannins for aging. It also offers weight and hints of future succulent blackberry fruits and richness. Drink this wine that is still developing from 2023.
This absolutely has personality and impact, and they have done a great job of controlling the extraction. A contemporary take on the vintage, with plump, ripe fruit and big drama. Coffee bean, tar, swirling mocha and chocolate.
The La Couspade is a deep, plush wine. Dark red cherry, plum, smoke and torrefaction are all pushed forward. Rich, sumptuous and super-inviting, the 2016 has great palate presence and terrific depth.
