After 2 years of research in the Medoc region, we fell in love with Chateau Peyredon Lagravette, owned by the family Hostein for over two centuries. Paul Hostein the previous owner, developed it as a must-have of the appellation Haut -Medoc in order to be classified as a Cru Bourgeois in 1932 and of course in 2003! Well situated in the Champs de Medrac, this spot is on the famous hill top of Grand Poujeaux, very well-known for the exceptional quality of his soil named "Graves de Gunz". This very warm and dry soil is perfect for a long and slow ripening and maturating. This small estate of 4,2 Ha is located just in the middle of prestigious neighbors, such as Chateau Poujeaux, Chasse Spleen and Maucaillou. The vineyard is 60 % merlot and 40 % Cabernet Sauvignon, planted at 9600 vines/ha . This massal selection was planted between 1956 and 1961 , with continue this selection under the control of INRA (National Institute in Agriculture Research.) The cellar, rebuilt in 2005, allies modernity and tradition with a complete battery of stainless steel tank with thermo-regulation. Respect the past, create the future, share with us the source of our Passion.
