This is a 2024 Pinot Noir from Arbois in the Jura, France, made by Domaine du Pélican as the Clos Saint-Laurent bottling.
Domaine du Pélican is Guillaume d'Angerville's project in the Jura. He was inspired to search for vineyards there after tasting Stéphane Tissot's Chardonnay Arbois Les Bruyères 2005 blind in a Paris restaurant and mistaking it for Burgundy. He leased Chateau Chavanes in Montigny-les-Arsures, which brought 5 hectares of biodynamically farmed vines replanted ten years earlier by the former owner. A further 5 hectares, never touched by chemicals and formerly farmed by Jean-Marc Brignot, support the domaine. In 2014, when Jacques Puffeney announced his retirement, Guillaume took over 4 hectares of his vineyards. François Duvivier leads the team in the Jura.
