Domaine du Pélican Arbois En Barbi Chardonnay is a 2024 white wine from the Arbois appellation in the Jura, France, made entirely from Chardonnay.
Domaine du Pélican is the Jura project of Guillaume d'Angerville. He began looking for vineyards there after tasting Stéphane Tissot's Chardonnay Arbois Les Bruyères 2005 blind in a Paris restaurant and mistaking it for a Burgundy. He then leased Chateau Chavanes in Montigny-les-Arsures, which came with 5 hectares of biodynamically farmed vines replanted ten years earlier by the former owner. Another 5 hectares, never touched by chemicals and formerly farmed by Jean-Marc Brignot, support the domaine. In 2014, when Jacques Puffeney announced his retirement, Guillaume took over 4 hectares of his vineyards. François Duvivier leads the team in the Jura.
