This 2020 Côte de Brouilly is 100% Gamay Noir, blended from three terroirs: L'Héronde (60%), Le Pavé (30%) and Les Bruhliés (10%). The vines are 30 to 80 years old and grow on south and east-facing slopes. The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented spontaneously with semi-carbonic maceration. The wine ages 12 months in barriques and demi-muids, then 12 months in concrete, and is bottled unfiltered with minimal sulfites. It has a pure, intensely fruity nose and a medium-bodied, fleshy, lively palate with sweet, powdery tannins. Alcohol is 13.5%.
Domaine Dupré-Goujon is a project started in 2012 by Sébastien Dupré and Guillaume Goujon, who met at the viticultural school in Bel-Air and worked together at Domaine de Montcalmès. Their first wine was the 2015. The estate is converting to organic farming and is planting fruit trees among the vines.
