This 2020 Côte de Brouilly is a Gamay from the L'Héronde lieu-dit, on the southern slopes of the appellation, where the vines grow on blue metamorphic diorite rock. Guillaume and Sébastien vinify whole cluster or partially destemmed bunches to keep the wine fresh and intervene as little as possible. It is aged for 24 months, including 12 in barriques and demi-muids. The wine is supple and silky, with blackberry and plum aromas, subtle floral notes and a hint of pomegranate. It is medium to full-bodied, with a fleshy core of fruit, tangy acidity and a long finish. It has 14% alcohol.
Domaine Dupré-Goujon is a project begun in 2012 by Sébastien Dupré and Guillaume Goujon, who met at the lycée viticole in Bel-Air and worked together at Domaine de Montcalmès. Sébastien gradually acquired parcels in the Côte de Brouilly, and they made their first wine in 2015. The vineyards are in conversion to organic farming, and the domaine is planting fruit trees among the vines.
