DOMAINE GEORGES GLANTENAY has 8 hectares of vines, managed using sustainable agriculture, with the greatest respect for the terroir. We strive every day to maintain and beautify the family heritage, but also to expand it whenever an opportunity presents itself. Each plot of our vineyard – Volnay, Pommard, Monthelie, Meursault, Chambolle-Musigny – is exploited with great care in order to produce wines whose personality reflects the authenticity of the Burgundian terroir. The harvest is entirely manual, and the selection rigorous: the grapes are sorted first time in the vineyard then a second time on their arrival in the vat room using a vibrating sorting table. All our wines are vinified in thermoregulated stainless steel vats then aged in French oak barrels for 10 to 18 months depending on the appellation. Our vat room, owned by the family for decades, was completely renovated in 2014 at the initiative of Guillaume, with the aim of modernizing the means of production and optimizing the work space. We have an exceptional tool allowing us to vinify the entire production of the 8 hectares of the estate. We strive to reconcile modern facilities, respect for traditions and the promotion of our centuries-old terroirs, of which Pinot Noir is a fabulous example.
