The 2024 Domaine Larue Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Sous Roche Dumay is a white Burgundy made from Chardonnay. It has a luminous look with greenish hints of color, and the nose shows pronounced minerality of flint and gun-flint. The palate is fleshy with a distinctive structure.
Guy Larue founded the family estate in 1946 in the hamlet of Gamay, in Saint-Aubin, just behind the Montrachet and Chevalier-Montrachet slope. Saint-Aubin was historically known for red wine, but the Larues have specialized in its white crus. Denis took over in 1976, his brother Didier joined in 1982, and Denis's son Bruno arrived in 2006. Their vineyards span Saint-Aubin and Puligny-Montrachet and include seven premier cru climats on south, southeast and southwest facing slopes of limestone-rich clay.
