Domaine Larue's 2024 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Sur Le Sentier Du Clou is a Pinot Noir from Burgundy, France. It has an intense, deep ruby color and a nose of fresh fruit with oak that is present but attractive. The texture is silky, with soft, gentle tannins adding volume on the palate.
Guy Larue founded the estate in 1946 in the hamlet of Gamay, in Saint-Aubin, just behind the Montrachet and Chevalier-Montrachet slope. Saint-Aubin was historically known for red wine, though the Larues have specialized in its white crus. His son Denis took over in 1976, his brother Didier joined in 1982, and Denis's son Bruno joined in 2006. Their holdings span Saint-Aubin and Puligny-Montrachet and include seven premier cru climats on clay and limestone soils, at elevations of 800 to 1200 feet.
