This is a white Burgundy from Auxey-Duresses in France, made from Chardonnay. It is the 2023 vintage of Les Crais from Domaine Prunier-Bonheur.
Pascal Prunier is the fifth generation in a family of vignerons. In 1983 he started his own domaine with his wife, Christine Bonheur, working just 3 hectares of rented vines. Today the domaine farms 8 hectares scattered through the Côte de Beaune, from Saint Romain to Beaune. Production is split equally between white and red wine, and the cellars sit on the road between Meursault and Auxey-Duresses, near Jean-Marc Roulot's home. Their whites are lively and energetic, while the reds are calm and pure.
